Yang Bo

A native of Gansu, China, Yang Bo is currently pursuing an artist diploma degree on a full scholarship at University of Colorado’s College of Music. In 2007, Yang was one of the three young singers selected from competitive nationwide auditions to participate in the workshop of the opera Poet Li Bai in Beijing. This led to an invitation to participate in the Young Artists Program of the Central City Opera, where he sang the Tenor Solo and covered the role of Wine for the world premiere of Poet Li Bai.
Yang was a fellowship recipient at the Carlo Bergonzi International Master Class presented by Bel Canto International in 2005. In 2006 he was the second prize-winner in the Julian Gayarre International Singing Competition in Spain.
Current performances include Rodolfo in La Bohème and Alfredo in La traviata with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic.
